SurrogateFirst CEO Jeff Hu Featured in Inc.

Originally posted on Inc. on Oct 2, 2024.

We’re thrilled to announce that our CEO, Jeff Hu, was recently featured in an Inc. article discussing the vice-presidential debate between Tim Walz and JD Vance.

Jeff highlighted the importance of civility in political discourse, stating, “To be honest, I see JD Vance in a more positive light now than before the debate. He was respectful and had a good demeanor while disagreeing with his opponent.”

However, Jeff wished the debate focused more time on how to support small businesses that represent 99% of US businesses, drive 64% of job creation, and represent 43.5% of GDP. He hoped that Tim Walz would have spoken more about Vice President’s newly launched “Entrepreneurs & Innovators Policy Plan” which supports small businesses with a combination of tax deduction incentives, access to funding, more government contracts, and fewer regulations so we can focus on being an engine of growth.

“I feel small businesses are taken for granted and are not recognized as the driving force behind the health of the economy and the success of this country. Innovation and the entrepreneurial spirit have always been a core pillar of America’s success.”

A big thank you to Melissa Angell for capturing these insights to shine a light on the significance of civility in politics, and bringing attention to small businesses!

This recognition underscores our commitment at SurrogateFirst to promoting respectful dialogue in all areas, including leadership and politics.
