Thanksgiving is a time of deep reflection, gratitude, and recognition of the extraordinary ways human beings support one another. In the world of surrogacy, this sentiment takes on an even more profound meaning. This year, our team at SurrogateFirst would like to express our deepest gratitude towards our surrogates through this heartfelt message from our CEO, Jeff Hu.
Dear Surrogates,
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, because it is a time to reflect on all the things I am grateful for. Having surrogacy as part of our daily life allows us to be humbled by situations we cannot control and to experience gratitude with each gift of life provided by our surrogates. No two journeys are alike, and no journey is perfect nor predictable; but what is constant is your commitment, sacrifice and love that you give in carrying your surro babies.
This year during our welcome dinner to kick off our annual cruise for our graduated surrogates my 13-year-old daughter shared a message from the heart, which drew a few teary eyes.
“I am really grateful to be born by a surrogate, otherwise me & my twin sister would not be here today, and we wouldn’t have a family.”
In that one sentence all the memories of my own journey rushed to the surface – the struggles, the heartache, the uncertainties and, in the end, the JOY! And the miracle of this teenager saying something meaningful for once.
To ALL surrogates – your act of generosity carries on eternally, positively impacting families for generations. Don’t ever forget that because the Universe will not.
Thank you for letting us support you during your journey. The gratitude we experience from your journey brings us happiness, peace and joy; we hope you feel the same. Happy Thanksgiving to you and all your loved ones!
As we close this Thanksgiving message, we are reminded that gratitude is more than a feeling – it’s a profound connection between hearts. Our surrogates are not just carriers of life, but bearers of hope, architects of dreams, and the most extraordinary examples of human kindness.
This holiday season, we celebrate you – the unsung heroes who transform lives in the most miraculous way possible.
With deepest appreciation and warmest wishes,
SurrogateFirst.
